The colors that characterize our ARA beanie evoke the various colors of birds inhabiting the Amazon rainforest. Amidst blues, reds, and yellows, the Ibotira winter brings warmth to brighten these more intense and gray days.

The name ARA, given to our beanie, comes from the Tupi-Guarani origin, meaning related to birds, heights, and things that fly – bird – jandaia – (macaw – Ceará – aracê).

The blend of fibers creates a marbled effect as three threads are twisted together before spinning, and they have not been treated, only washed, and have not undergone any chemical treatment before being dyed. This enhances the best qualities of the wool while achieving a better shape and texture quality.

100% alpaca wool

Items made with alpaca fiber serve as excellent thermal insulators, keeping low temperatures well away from the body. Additionally, they are hypoallergenic because they do not contain lanolin (a natural product obtained from the wax of sheep’s wool generated by textile processors as a byproduct of the process).
